I first came to Gorrino when I was just ten years old and it has become part of my life since then! I have spent here most of my summer holidays and beyond. Here I learned to appreciate nature and to understand its evolution. Here I rediscovered the natural flow of time, punctuated by the sound of bells and sunlight. I decided to open this b&b to share with others the opportunity to enjoy such a special place, capable of taking you back to the true dimension of life.

Silence and tranquility, unspoiled nature and surprising encounters, endless starry skies to gaze at and get lost: this is the context in which you can find bnb Poggio delle Ginestre, located in Piedmont, on the hills of the Alta Langa area, in the municipality of Valle Pezzolo Uzzone.

The building once was an old stone barn, surrounded by a garden with medicinal herbs and an organic orchard and vegetable garden. The recent renovation was carried out according to the local style and with the use of biocompatible materials (wood, stone, natural paints). Breakfast is prepared with great care and includes fruit from our orchard.

B&b Poggio delle Ginestre is in Gorrino, an ancient walled village of concentric shape with a medieval-style castle, in which fifteenth-century structures towering over the older ones are still evident, and the Church of St. Peter, dating back to the 1600s. Gorrino stands out on top of a hill, 700 meters above sea level, and offers extraordinary and evocative landscapes, changing along with the passing of hours and seasons. The bnb, surrounded by the typical dry stone terraces, is well exposed to sunlight from dawn to sunset, and is often gently brushed by sea air.

In each season, nature comes up with an infinite range of colors, providing the perfect scenery to admire plants and wildlife, but also to meditate in solitude. In the meadows surrounding the b&b you will see several species of protected orchids, rosemary and lush bushes of scented broom.

At certain times of the day, you can make surprising encounters with deer and hares, while night is the time of foxes, badgers and wild boars. The lush flowers blooming in the garden and in the orchard attract numerous and colorful butterflies. You can also hear almost every day the moving call of the buzzard, and marvel at its gliding flight.

The hills below, with the intense scents of oak, hornbeam, ash, acacia and wild cherry trees, are the frame of the bnb’s backdrop: the Cottian Alps and Monte Viso.
